Steps to close the gold shop and its security
It's hard to start the closing process while you're still open, but that's the last thing you want to do. Just like opening, closing is a very vulnerable time for goldsmiths because criminals know that there is a chance that the item will be insecure. Plus, they make sure you're more focused on leaving the store and less on security measures.
The closing process should not take place until you have locked your doors. Reverse your opening steps in order.
- Start collecting and closing shop with two or more people.
- Check the interior of your business for anyone who may be hiding in the service and elsewhere.
- Return all displays to the safe or entryway and do not allow others to enter once locked.
- Ask someone to evaluate the exterior of your facility.
- The second employee should set the alarm and lock the door behind him.
- The first employee must watch the second employee leave the store, inspect and enter their vehicle, lock and start their vehicle.
